VEILWATCH Verify checks a passport is genuine and that the person holding it is the person presenting it. You will only have it because an organisation asked you to verify your identity.
This is the most common problem, and it is almost always one of these:
The camera reads the two lines of letters and numbers at the very bottom of the page, so those need to be in the frame and free of glare. Tilt the passport away from a bright light rather than moving to a darker room. There is no button — it scans on its own as soon as it can read the lines.
Verification links can be used once, and they expire. If yours has already been used or has run out, the organisation that sent it is the only one who can issue another — we cannot create one for you.
The app follows your phone's language. To change it, tap the globe icon at the top of any screen. Each language is listed in its own name.
If you want to know why you were asked to verify, what will happen next, or you want a copy of what was submitted, please contact the organisation that sent you the link. Once your verification reaches them they hold the only copy — we do not keep one. See the privacy policy for what is collected and how long it exists.

Please include your phone model and operating system version, and which step the app was on. Do not send passport details or photographs by email.
